Credit Card Or Debit Card?

Although the credit card was the first to come out of the financial market meanwhile, the debit card is consistently gaining acceptance and popularity. And besides some people still prefer using a credit card while others are more comfortable with a debit card. So let’s start comparing these two financial instruments to know what their all about.

Regarding the similarities of these two cards, both are made of plastic with a magnetic strip at the back and have logos. Both these cards can be used for cashless transactions and also for balance or fund transfers but this is where the similarities end. There are also fees involved when owning these cards but the charges are much more with a credit card then a debit card. Aside from that, with a debit card the account it is linked with needs to have some cash deposit whereas with a credit card that is not necessary most especially when making a purchase.  There are no cash advances with a debit card on one hand there is a cash advance capability with a credit card.

If you travel a lot then a credit card would be better for you because with a debit card you need to put in some funds in it before you can use it. But if you would like to closely monitor your expenses, then the debit card should be choice.
